Journaling on the go

Journaling set up in food court…

I pretty much can journal anywhere and at anytime, it may take some prep work to begin with, but I am very much at home journaling on the go. I feel there is an added bonus of being outside or indoors, but in a completely different environment from say your bedroom or studio. Your out in public and somewhat on display, I do get people who stop too look at what I am doing. I am quite happy to answer any questions and show my journal. I don’t like people who tell me they don’t have the time or patience to do what I am doing. It is there choice, but not mine at all, I feel they are putting me down. But journaling to me is like breathing air.

Today my brother had to go to Fiona Stanley hospital and so I went too and ended up in the food court area, set up my journaling supplies and off I went. I go quite a few pages done in my current project, a travel journal from my recent trip to Bunbury. It was lovely to sit and just zone out and create on the page. I also researched place names and historical facts to pop in amongst my photos and own journaling pages.

I stopped to photograph my little journal pop up zone, you do not need expensive things to journal either. Pen and paper is a good start. I also print out my photos before hand in my HP sprocket printer, passport size so I can fit quite a few on my journal pages. To me it is documenting the life moments and what I did on my trip. Because I hadn’t been on a trip for many years it was even more special, and so I also wrote up packing lists etc to really make my journal something else indeed.

I have had a bit of a journal break as well, on and off since my Dad passed away. I still write, but I am slowly becoming more into it and branching out in my journaling and creative endeavours. Slowly but surely returning to myself, but there is no timeline on grief I have been told, and so I keep at it and don’t write if it isn’t right.

I hope to do more and can not wait to share my Bunbury travel journal when it is done, it is truly something I am really proud of making. Journaling helps you so much in finding out who you are, not just what others think you are. That is very important to me, because I am uniquely me and I won’t let anybody put me down any more. My gift to you all out there in the blogosphere, is to you, no matter what happens you stay true to yourself. Nothing else matters than your own self worth.

Anyway ciao for now Kitty-Kat xox And hope you have a great day…
