Oh last morning here in Bunbury, Southwest WA, sad and happy to be going home, a little breakfast here in my motel room before returning my key and waiting for taxi to the bus terminal. I can reflect on a great trip away, I don’t think it will be my last, and finding travel around my own state, filled with many possibilities and yet far away to truly feel on holidays.
I look out my motel window and see a blue sky, it’s a view I have more than welcomed waking up too many a day. Maybe rainy or grey but a view which promised me new adventures and journeys for this wanderlust traveller who has been clipped of wings for awhile, not that I worry too much about lack of travel these past couple of years, but it hasn’t been the right time for me or my family. Now I am able to take off and see where the wind takes me, usually in the most wonderful and amazing journeys, I am always grateful and feel truly blessed to be able to travel, no matter how far or how close that maybe to my home.
I feel the build up to a holiday is big, major even you would say, but I feel the last day is also forgotten a lot of the time. It is a day of rushing about, getting to bus terminals, airports or to catch a train. It however is time to remember and to feel blessed by the time away you have had. To feel refreshed and happy to what comes next. To me the last day is only the very beginning of everything else. Time to really enjoy and not rush through no matter how we feel we must do, Just breathe and think how lucky I am to be here.
So off I go, back home.
Ciao for now Kitty-Kat xox And hope you have a great day xox
