Yes I did it, started a gardening journal and absolutely adored it as well. It has been a little while since first got the main idea from Inkie Quill’s Adele, who did a muck-a-about journal solely focused on gardening, or as Adele said hypo-focus at the moment. Something which I can relate to myself, get fixated on topics and hobbies. But I get off track here, back to gardening journal my dear friends.

I love gardening and being surrounded by gardens of all sorts and sizes, spent a lot of time in different gardens in UK and Australia as well as Spain and USA too, I love it experience these spaces. Gardening also been a great part of my life and childhood, because my parent’s both gardened as well as my grandparents too. Green spaces make me feel very happy and just feel relaxed. So idea of gardening journal just seemed rather not that really farfetched at all. Just an easy transition of moments to be collected together within one place.

I also wanted to document a lot of my journey of our current garden where we live, especially since Dad’s passing, it means a lot to me the garden we started together, which continues to carry on without him. It really I feel is his legacy of sorts, a place to remember and also be peaceful and calm to spend time within its boundaries. It is a safe place that means the world to me for sure. Mum and I continue to tend and create the space into a wonderful garden and outdoor room, you could say.

Saturday morning, I planted my seed potatoes from Bunnings, one was Delaware, and the other was Mozart, I can not wait to see what pops up in the coming weeks. I hope to record their progress and update my blog when little shots start to peep through the surface. Exciting stuff indeed ahead. Veggie growing.

I also picked up a beetroot plant from Bunnings, which I also planted in a pot. It is not an ordinary one, but it is called Candy Stripes because it is striped like Candy Cane is. I can’t wait to see how it looks and tastes like, if any, different from normal beetroot. I have decided to start growing a few veggies in pots to see how I go, then take it from there. It is different for me, but I am getting more experienced as a gardener to try new things.
Adieu, for now and hope you have a great day xox
