Gardening

New plants and colour….

I do love a good succulent or two in my garden. In fact, I did get a few new ones last time I visited Bunnings. I love to add little bits and pieces to our already big selection of plants, potted and other in the garden. I have been keeping up my watering times because the rain until this week has been very rare indeed. But it has started to rain and garden looking very happy and bouncy indeed. The summer this year really took a lot out of it, lost a few plants and others holding on barely.

Potatoes are here 🥔🥔🥔

Just before the rain, my potatoes have popped themselves out of the ground. Very proud, mamma, indeed to see their cheerful heads pop up. I can not wait to see how they taste in a couple of months’ time. It has been rather rewarding to see these plants pop up out of just dirt. Gardening has been a life saver for my mental health and just my being, too. I get so much joy from pottering about in the garden, dirty hands and all. This time of year season slowly changes, and the garden comes alive after a long, hot summer.

A garden truly brings a broken lost soul alive from within. Now it is time for leaves to be raked and garden tidy up before the true winter season starts. Grass seeds to scatter about the back lawn, as well as to  air rate the lawn so that the rains truly get into the hard soil left over from the summertime. Jobs always to do in a garden, new areas to plot out and potted plants to adopt and grow out.

Adieu, for now and hope you have a great day xox
