Hello, summertime,

It has been a while, and yet you are back again. Life becomes full of colours after the blitz  of spring has gone for another season. Now comes summer with the long days and balmy nights. Blue skies that seem so vast that even the odd white cloud gets lost amongst it all. Meadows of white flowers amongst the greenest green you have ever seen.

Summertime means to me holidays, long ones with endless time to do nothing if one feels like it. I like walks along the beach, crashing waves, and blue green water that truly takes your breath away. I am aimlessly staring out at the ocean or sky and just letting my thoughts take me where they want. Often, I feel like a kid again, just living in the moment, no work, just relaxing chill out time.

I am lucky to work as an educational assistant, so I have school holidays off, but I must admit that summer holidays would have to be my favourite time of year. They are longer time than usual two weeks for term breaks.

Outdoors are where I want to be dear summertime, unless the temperature is way too hot. By the ocean or river is where I want to be, and of course Freo, my happy place to go too. By the Indian Ocean, fish ‘n’ chips and time spent at Bather’s beach just feeling the seabreeze.
