I do believe I am a beachy boho type deep down, I just love to spend time, long walks and staring out at the ocean, my happy place, rain or shine doesn’t really matter to me. The ocean to me calms the stormy nature of mine. It is a place full of possibilities and also safe place to land, when the world doesn’t quite treat you right.
We are so lucky here in Perth, Western Australia, to have some of the most beautiful and unspoilt beaches in the world. And I am so glad to be able to visit quite a few of them in our fine state. The colours of sunsets are pale pastel colours or striking strong colours of orange and yellow. Sometimes, even a photo can not quite give it justice either.
Pale foot walking on the beach is also a firm favourite of mine. I hate sand in my shoes, so shoes off is my preferred way to enjoy beach walks. It makes me think back to when I was still a child and running up and down the beach. Playing chasey with the tide was my all-time favourite thing to do as well. As it came in and out. The cool water on your ankles is a feeling like nothing else at all.
While living in the UK I did a awful lot of walking along the beach and in all kinds of weather. It helped me feel less homesick, and also helped me learn more about my adopted country too. I know a lot of people thought I was crazy, but on the other hand, I saw a lot of people also walking in the rain. Summertime was my favourite though with sandy beaches and warm, but not too hot weather. The children I nannied spent a lot of their time by the seaside.
Freo though, Bather’s Beach is my favourite place though, in the city of Fremantle, and with a view of the Ocean that goes for miles.
Adieu for now Kitty-kat xox
