Reading outside…

Reading outside or practically anywhere is my definite jam at the moment. Just reading the words off a page slightly fluttering in the breeze really makes my heart truly sing. Fresh air and a good book go together so very well indeed. I also find myself looking up from my book to see the world all around me, and how there are always these ever-so-slight changes that happen, but so hard to pin down a lot of the time. You just need to be in tune with it, not so easy unless you’re just a little quirky in yourself.

Books are my jam and no matter if I go through intense periods where I don’t read at all, books and reading are always at the forefront of my mind, always. Stories live inside my mind long after I close the book on the last page, they conclude but stay forever in my heart’s mind. I used to spend summer holidays reading my books outside on the patio on a plastic chair and breeze in my hair and on my face. Life then was about how many books I could possibly read in 6 weeks.

Even today at school where I work a lot of the students enjoy reading under the trees or simply outside with their backs pressed against a wall. It seems to be a way for kids to connect to whatever they are reading or learning.

Adieu for now Kitty-kat xox
