Today is a public holiday here in Perth, Western Australia of course I get to spend it in the garden. Yesterday I started to mulch the side garden near my studio/shed and today I finished by doing near the back and side fence, as well as alongside the house side garden. It looks amazing and really finishes off the garden transformation, from the new fence to the established garden. Now that when get cooler weather I will start to plant out the area. That probably won’t happen for a couple of weeks, ‘cos we have a week of weather over 35°c plus so no planting just yet, just water and plenty of it.

Now focus on plants and planning areas, where what will go where, the fun stuff you could say. Autumn season here, but not really feeling it here in Perth. Now take a rest, walk around and get Mum to oversee what I have been doing for two days. Funny how fun mulching can actually be, weird I know, but so true anyway.
