Dear Teenager me,

Hello from the future and place you never thought you would see, ever. The pain, tears and laughter are all worth it. You made it kiddo and yes you got lost along the way, but you made it anyway. Funny enough I feel more in touch with this version of me, than anyone else for a long while.

I love your sass, no filter and passion for life. After the year I had last year, your strength really got me through the tough times. The questions I had to ask myself and really needed to break before I could truly heal.

Life will always be hard for me, a lesson you will go through a lot of the time. But I am here to let you know that we face it head on however painful it may be. We put our head down and muggle through. Sometimes with other’s by our side and other times totally alone.

Never let others change you.

It may happen, but you will always be your quirky self. It is who you truly are. You find your tribe after a couple of false starts, my girl.

What matters now, will simply be an anecdote in your life. Your long life, yes you get through all the bs and come out the other side.

God will play a big part in your future life, I know strange but true. You will see with eyes of faith which are what you fall back on when troubles get too much.

My girl you are an amazing artist and writer too. You have even sold some of your work to others. You have a blog as well that reaches people all over the world, and most of all you have dozens of journals to document your life and many travels. Yes, you have seen the world and even lived overseas.

You are a survivor of cancer 3 times, and still you remain strong and true to yourself and you love just as fiercely as you did back then. You are you, and never pretend to be otherwise.
