Autumn is my favourite season, although it is not always a long season here in Perth, Western Australia. And sometimes we are lucky if it comes at all. When I lived in the UK, autumn was my favourite of all. The colours of leaves and slowly turning of season from summer to autumn again. It is the time to reread “Anne of Green Gables ” and think of those autumn days to come.

Cozy times ahead, wrapped up in blankets and lazy sleep ins. I can not wait to enjoy it. It is time to enjoy getting the garden ready for winter as well. It is saying goodbye to long days and bright blue skies for a while, and welcoming in cloudy skies and rainy days once more. How much I have missed them both. But funny enough, summer has been good to me this season, I have simply let it unfold as one does as a child. I feel that is the key. Enjoy whatever season you find yourself in. Because it can never be forever summer or autumn no matter what you want.

We need the seasons to turn and change, or else life would be no fun at all. The key is to realise this and make peace with it as well.
