Rainy day ahead, so different from the heat we have had for our endless summer here in Perth. It has been raining since early this morning and keeps on going. It was lovely to hear the rain on the roof and to see cloudy skies about. There are so many puddles to jump about in. Yes, there is a major cyclone up the coast, but still, rain is needed after such a dry and hot summer.

I write this after the morning of the meeting with some friends from the school I worked at. It was a great lovely little cafe in Willagee, outdoors under cover with the rain falling and all of us talking and catching up. Now home and why not put pen to paper and write a little about our first real rainy day for quite a while indeed.

At least my garden will get a good drenching indeed. The jacaranda tree will be in perfect heaven indeed. A good soaking is just what the garden needs now.

I think I will just sit and read, maybe listen to the rain falling as well. Great day to stay indoors away from the wet.
