Yeah it’s hump day and not a moment too soon, school is back and boy have I been run off my feet. Kindy moments has grown now to include Pre-Primary hence the PP on the heading. There have been a few tears both from the kids and Parent’s, Kindy is a big step for these little ones and my heart goes out to each and every one of them. Even our Pre-Primary’s have had a few wobbles here and there, coming back to school and it being a full week for them. There is change a foot everywhere, I am slowly getting used to new classroom and new teacher I am working with this year. There is always a few teething problems with any new school year.
The classroom is abuzz with children at play and forming friendships and simply exploring their new environment to it’s fullest. I am amazed with myself that I have memorized all the new Kindys names already, it’s just the Parent’s where I have the trouble with. We have done handprints and first paintings, then tomorrow we do it all again with new group of Kindys. It’s been a week of fun and tiredness, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I am so happy to be in the one classroom this year and so it feels more settled and grounds me to familiar surroundings.
My Pre-Primary’s that were Kindys last year, are enjoying seeing their friends in their class or out in the playground. They have all grown taller as well as just not being those little Kindys I remember. My other Kindys from last year have been excited to see me, they do miss me and the other teachers, but are settling in slowly but surely. It is definitely a time of change all around.
It is starting out to be a very different, but exciting new school year and I can not wait to share it with you all in the blogosphere. Now I will go have my first and last hot tea I am going to get for today.
Ciao
