Daytripper that is me. Mum, Ash and I decided to go on a day trip to an old favourite Eastern suburb of Bassendean. It is a place close to us, usually went their with my Aunt Marion and cousin Lissy, during the school holidays, I used to spend at my Aunt’s house in nearby Ashfield.

So we went to Op shop where I picked up a lovely top and a few books. We also found a bookshop as well that we could of spend days in, and would have if Mum hadn’t been the voice of reason, as well as getting on lunchtime. Definitely a place to return too.

I loved being close to Perth and yet, we felt like we were out in the country for sure. Lovely feeling of being on holiday and yet 45 minutes from home and at once. And without the packing as well.

I love just heading out on little adventures like this and will continue to a lot more now that the weather is improving too. There is so much to see and do in your own home town, if you just open your eyes to it all.
