It has been a rough couple of weeks, I’ve been home taking care of my Mum, who unfortunately had broken her leg. First in hospital and now rehab at home, but with all of it, spending time in the garden has helped me to cope, even when times were very difficult indeed. Most of us know what it is like to care for family members. It is often selfless, and you just get in and do it. My garden is my way of healing and taking care of myself and my own mental health, too.
My garden is producing strawberries 🍓 and flowers are blooming. Everything is getting bigger, and I love the way my garden has evolved over the last couple of months. In the peak spring season of new growth, as well as tending to seedlings, sunflowers growing and seaweed solutions to help peak up the garden during days getting warmer and longer.
I have new herbs given by a friend for my birthday that add to my little garden of potted plants. Weeding and watering take up my time, but at least better than being on my phone scrolling away aimlessly. It makes me so happy to see all of these plants growing and soothing to my soul as well.
Ciao for now Kitty-kat xox
