I started a selfie challenge awhile ago and forgot to upload more pics, so here they are, my last selfies for 2018 although I am sure there will be plenty more in 2019. I started it as a way to love my own face a little more, and I think it has been hugely successful beyond my own expectations. I have learnt to laugh at myself and become more comfortable in my own skin. From here it is only onwards and upwards, more selfies too take and more laughs to be had.
The pick of selfies also spotlights my madcap side and I think I look pretty good in most of them, with and without makeup. Not bad for somebody who was told when they were only 32years old they may not see their 33 rd birthday. Now at 44years old I think I look great.
I know selfies are part of a new generation with social media platforms everywhere, but to me the selfie means much more. It is about not how many likes you get or comments posted, it is about self-love and being just kind to yourself. That is what I want people to take from this post, to love yourself, because you are the only one who can do it.
Ciao
