You know it is getting wetter when you see my trusty mustard yellow handbag make an appearance in my blog posts.

Today was one of those days. I love the rain, but I hate getting my stuff in my handbag wet. So I chose my mustard yellow leather handbag, I got several years ago, when I worked in Subiaco (suburb near Perth) in a Creche. At the time it was really expensive, but my Mum said to me it was an investment, and that leather last forever.

So I brought it, and regardless of the fact I now work as an Education assistant at the local school, I still have the handbag. Yellow to me is the perfect colour along with red when the rainy days roll in. It also never fails to make me smile when I see it near me.

So I got to do a little reading while I waited for Dad at the library, and got my favourite spot in one of these cute little reading nooks, they have dotted around the library. They are so comfortable to put your feet up and simply relax, while reading your library book. I also have written journal entries, and even my blog posts from this exact place.

The library has such a calming effect on me and my mood as well. It is one of my happy places, and one place where I tend to feel right at home. It is also funny enough my childhood library as well, which is probably why I love to visit it so much. It is my safe place and a place where I can simply lost myself in the surroundings of books.

It is always sad to leave, but in my library bag I have a few treasures to keep me happy for three weeks, when it is back to my happy place to do it all over again.
