Going to the city last Saturday was great finish to a great day. Nothing better than to be wandering about the city looking at shops and just chilling with my Mum. I am finding the older I get the more I appreciate my close bond with my Mum, I know that is not always the case with other people.

I really feel in love with the lights at one of the shopping malls and basically took a lot of photos and even a video of them. They really are quite amazing indeed, very much like a child’s kaleidoscope, I am sure we all had as children growing up, especially in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s.

Miss Maud’s in Perth city is also a lovely place to rest weary feet after shopping most of the day. Mum and I love the Apple strudel, and I simply adore the spearmint milkshake they make, so very divine indeed. I love also to people watch as I enjoy a little afternoon tea, Mum thinks it is funny, although I do try to rein in my catty remarks.

Perth city is also getting quite Christmasy with lights and flyers up everywhere, although with the hot days lately Christmas is very much far from our minds.
