Well in a few hours the New year eve’s celebrations will begin as 2021 comes to a close, and what a year it has turned out to be 😪🤣😘

It’s Summertime here in Perth Western Australia and so many will ring the new year at maybe fireworks or party, but also with masks on and COVID 19 always around. But at least the sun is shining and it’s not too hot, unlike last weekend for Christmas.

Me, well New Year’s eve means lovely dinner with my folks and my brother. Then I will probably watch and listen to music to ring out the new year, maybe a little Christmas music as well, since it is still technically December 😉

Of course books will be front and centre in my night as well, what better way to enjoy sometime with old friends, in my favourite books. It still seems rather strange that tonight is it, the end of 2021 ? Where did it go indeed ?

2021 Thank you for your ups and downs during these last twelve months, there have been brutal lows, and then joyful moments that have truly had my heart singing. Life is pretty good, despite those things aside that have tested us beyond belief.

I have had some losses, but I also have learnt how very strong and courageous I can really be. I try to take it all in my stride, and keep that ever present smile on my face, not because I think everything is rosy, but because I choose to meet my trials with a smile on my face and laughter in my lungs.

2021 has taught me to have Faith, and stand out no matter what others think, say or do. I am me, and even though I am broken, I have been so wonderfully crafted. Sometimes you need to celebrate your imperfections and not get hung up on what the world wants you to be…
