I love being out in nature and lately been helping out in the garden. Today was a day although very cold, was also clear blue skies and so digging out dead plants and watering the garden. Before I knew it the cold was forgotten and I was lost to the wilds of the garden, lost in weeds and listening to birdsong all around me. What a beautiful way to spend a Sunday morning, especially school holidays weekend as well.

I love outdoors and just being surrounded by quietness, although busyness of nature. Especially now Winter has truly come to start here in Southern Hemisphere. I managed to really put a dent in the weeds throughout the front garden. Proud of myself and what I achieved in a couple of hours, hard work. The garden looks tidy and full of life, birds everywhere as well as the odd helicopter and plane flying overhead. I tried not to take my head off under bushes getting the weed trying to escape my grasp.

After a few weeks of stress and grief, it is good to get my hands dirty, as well as spend time outdoors in nature. Really helped me clear my head, and feel part of the world again. Gardening has been a real saving grace for me lately, I can simply work away and not think too deeply about what has troubled me. I am so grateful to my parent’s and Grandparent’s who have instilled the gardening gene into me.
