Little glitters of life

Made by little hands….

Little glitter moments of life happen in the strangest places, they can be a sunset, a smile, or a giggle from a child. They are the moments that truly sing deep within your soul. As my students would say, it makes your heart sing. These little rings made from glitter pipe cleaners made not be made with precious metals or jewels, but they are more precious and expensive than anything else. They are made by one of my students, rings for me for Christmas, actually called my Christmas rings, even though it is only June. I wore them all day, because it would make my student smile. Now they are safe on my desk in my bedroom, a constant reminder of why I work as an Teacher’s aide, because of these glitter moments. Sometimes few and far, but when they happen all else flies away.

Glitter moments are what keep me going sometimes. Times to just hoard away until you really need them to get you through harder times.

I needed to write this precious moment, because I never want to forget it. I reminders me of another student I taught, all he could give me in thanks was a rock from our playground, I treasure that rock. And recently saw him all grown up and knew he was ok. He remembered me, which touched my heart. Because I knew I made a difference indeed in his life, awful as it was. He had survived.

Adieu for now Kitty-Kat xox
