Today I am housesitting for a good friend, I have gotten my watercolours paints out and have been happily painting away all day. I have been doing some backgrounds for me to write and journal over. I also want to do my artwork over the top of the washes I have done.
It’s been a chilled out day of painting and watching the clouds pass on by and the sun is out on this beautiful spring day, that just happens to be a public holiday here in Perth Western Australia.
I am enjoying being on holidays from school and being able to drink a hot cup of tea or your lunch without 17 Kindys wanting to know what I had for lunch. Don’t get me wrong, I love my Kindy kids, but it is kinda like looking after a group of teenagers that party hard and then still want their afternoon nap. It also important to me to look after myself, which is hard to do at most times, but to me it is a major priority for my mental health.
I feel like one of my Kindys when I started back with the watercolours and now I am loving every minute of it. I write this as I sit outside and watch the world go by.
