Words

It really doesn’t cost you anything too be kind, just a few well chosen words is all it really takes. And I think that isn’t too much to ask of people in today’s world at all. I see the way a child’s eyes light up when you sit down and really listen to what they have to say. It pains me to see in our world we are sometimes too busy to stop and talk to those people around us. Even the simple act of asking if someone is ok, when you know they may be struggling goes a long way. Just a simple hug and sharing the load is all it really takes.

I love to collect quotes and little notes given too me or what I have seen reading, or even on social media platforms. Words to make me smile when I need that little pick me up now and then. I feel in our modern technology driven world we are forgetting the small stuff. And also we are not machines like the ones we are so very much controlled by. A little goes a long way as my Nanna used to say.

Yesterday I saw one of my students who is now in year 4/5 and we had a lovely chat about his days in Kindy and Pre-Primary, and my goodness he had grown up so well mannered indeed. He still remembers me and gave me a beaming smile while talking too me. I walked away knowing he would feel good for the rest of the day, and you know what, so did I.

Words are important no matter the time we live in, and I think words need to be weighed carefully just like molten gold is poured into a mould. Words can wound as well as heal, but never forget to simply talk and list3n to those around you.

Adieu for now Kitty-Kat xox
